Compassionate counseling & EMDR therapy intensives in charming downtown Angola, Indiana

Virtual therapy for residents of Indiana & Ohio

We are here when….

Old, dysfunctional patterns play on repeat, leaving you frustrated or stuck.

Certain “triggers” catch you off guard, hitting harder than you know they should.

You find yourself having reactions that seem out of proportion to what’s going on.

Your nervous system is wearing out with chronic pain or fatigue, but even your doctor says it’s “all in your head”?

You’ve talked about the problem until you’re blue in the face, and talking hasn’t shifted anything.

You’ve tried therapy before, and it didn’t help.

It’s time to reclaim your body, mind, and spirit.

At Mindbody Counseling & Wellness Center, our approach is different.

We integrate proven, scientifically-validated interventions that work with both the mind and the body to gently rewire the neural pathways responsible for old patterns and reactions.

Our brain-based psychotherapy engages your nervous system helping you to finally:

  • Feel neutral when old triggers arise, instead of being pulled into shame, anger, or overwhelm.

  • Experience calm in situations that used to spark anxiety or tension.

  • Release the shame that followed big, out-of-character reactions or patterns.

  • Reconnect with your body and presence, so your nervous system feels grounded and whole.

We tailor each session to your unique mindbody patterns, combining evidence-based practices with an attuned, relational approach that honors both what you carry and what you long to reclaim.

Learning Cohorts

Small, intimate group spaces for learning

These are small-group sessions for people who like to learn alongside others, without losing depth or nuance. We combine education, reflection, and guided practice, with space for questions and shared insight along the way. Cohorts run for a set period of time and offer a more accessible way to do meaningful work while benefiting from collective perspective and resonance. This is a good fit if you want to practice new skills in relationship with others. Click here for current cohorts.

55-Minute Sessions

A steady place to work things through

Sessions occur weekly or bi-weekly. This is a standard therapy session and works well for ongoing support. We use the time to work with anxiety, trauma, patterns, relationships, and nervous-system regulation in a focused, contained way. These sessions are about consistency—building awareness, resolving old traumas without overwhelming the system, and developing more presence over time without pushing or rushing the process.

Extended Processing

More time, fewer interruptions

Extended processing sessions range from 90 minutes to 3 hours and are designed for work that needs room. Having more time reduces transitions and allows a full arc of processing to happen in one sitting. This can support trauma resolution, emotional integration, and real shifts that are often hard to access in shorter sessions. It’s a good option when your system is ready to stay with something until it moves.

EMDR Therapy Intensives

When you want to go deeper, faster

Intensives are 1 to 3 day sessions, that allow us to stay with the work long enough for deeper material to emerge. Instead of breaking things up week to week, we create more continuity so your nervous system can settle and engage more fully. This format is especially helpful for trauma processing, complex themes, or times when you feel ready to make meaningful movement rather than inching along. Book a consult to inquire about scheduling a 1-3 EMDR intensive.

“People often say that this or that person has not yet found himself. But the self is not something one finds, it is something one creates.”
