Welcome to Mindbody Counseling

Here’s a secret you may not have heard before; not all therapists may be a good fit for you. The reality is that there are many different therapy methods, many different therapists, and many personalities. Some may not fit the best, while others may feel natural and easy.

At Mindbody Counseling & Wellness Center, we work with each client to design a treatment plan that makes sense for each client. We listen and learn, and work to find an approach that makes sense for the client.

This page is designed to help you determine whether Mindbody Counseling & Wellness Center might be a fit for you.

Is Mindbody a Good Fit for Me?

Therapy works best when the approach fits the person. Mindbody Counseling & Wellness Center may be a particularly good fit

if you're looking for therapy that goes beyond simply talking about what happened.

This may be a good fit if you…

✓ Want to understand patterns and work with what your brain and body are still carrying.

✓ Feel like you’ve already done a lot of thinking, analyzing, or talking, but something still feels stuck.

✓ Are interested in approaches such as EMDR, somatic work, parts work, hypnosis, sandtray, or other experiential therapies.

✓ Appreciate a therapist who is active, collaborative, curious, and willing to help you look beneath the surface.

✓ Want therapy that can be adapted to the way you process rather than forcing everything into one method.

✓ Are interested in either traditional weekly therapy or longer sessions that allow more time for deeper processing.

This may not be the best fit if you’re looking for…

× A therapist who primarily listens without offering much feedback, direction, or active involvement.

× Medication management or psychiatric services.

× Crisis or emergency mental health services.

× Insurance-based therapy or a provider who submits claims or superbills.

× Couples or family therapy.

× A quick-fix approach, a guaranteed outcome, or a predetermined timeline for how long therapy “should” take.

You don’t need to know

which therapy method you need before you begin.

Part of the process is figuring that out together!

Three Ways to Work With Mindbody

Not everyone needs therapy in the same-sized container.

Depending on your goals, schedule, readiness, and the kind of work you want to do, there are three ways to begin.

01

55-Minute Therapy Sessions

Consistent support that unfolds over time.

Weekly or biweekly sessions for ongoing therapy, emotional processing, nervous system support, EMDR preparation and processing, and deeper work that can be integrated into everyday life.

Best for: Ongoing support, steady progress, and clients who prefer a traditional therapy rhythm.

02

Extended Processing Sessions

More time to settle in, go deeper, and complete a fuller arc of work.

Longer sessions — approximately 1.5 to 3 hours — allow more space for EMDR, trauma processing, somatic work, parts work, and integration without having to stop just as something begins to move.

Best for: Clients who want deeper processing, fewer start-and-stop transitions, or who travel farther for therapy.

03

Therapy Intensives

Focused therapeutic work in a concentrated format.

Therapy intensives create dedicated time for deeper work over one to three days, with preparation, focused processing, and integration built into the experience.

Best for: Clients with a clear focus who are ready to devote concentrated time to meaningful therapeutic work.

What Does Therapy Cost?

Mindbody Counseling & Wellness Center is a fully self-pay practice.

We do not bill insurance or provide superbills for insurance reimbursement.

55-Minute Therapy Sessions

$125 per session

A traditional therapy session for ongoing weekly or biweekly work.

Extended Processing Sessions

$150 per hour

Extended sessions range from approximately 85 minutes to 3 hours.

The length and format are determined together based on your needs and the kind of work you're doing.

Therapy Intensives

$1000 per 6-8 hour day

Focused, concentrated therapeutic work designed around a specific goal or set of targets.

Intensives may span one to three days depending on your needs and readiness.

That’s completely okay. Starting therapy is a meaningful decision, and it can help to know a little more before you schedule.

Interested in a Therapy Intensive?

Therapy intensives are a different way of working — longer, concentrated sessions designed for clients who want dedicated time for deeper therapeutic work.

Intensives are offered in 6–8 hour days at $1,000 per day and require a little more planning than a standard therapy appointment.
